CCI advocates on various issues in front of the Colorado General Assembly. CCI produces numerous resources to keep commissioners informed of legislation impacting counties, CCI’s progress on advocating and amending various bills, and at the end of each session, the new Mandates and Authorities handed down from the legislature.

View Status of CCI Priority Bills
At the end of each regular legislative session, CCI Staff solicits ideas for bills from County Commissioners and their staff. Membership and CCI Staff then rework these ideas into full policy proposals, which are then voted on by members. If they reach our 65% approval threshold, they are adopted as a CCI Priority and staff begins work to get them passed into law.
Legislative Session Wrap-ups
At the conclusion of the Colorado legislative session, CCI hosts an opportunity to spotlight key accomplishments and initiatives of interest to county operations and county commissioners. CCI staff will host a webinar to review the session, explain new mandates & authorities, discuss new funding & service opportunities, and more!
