Nationwide Retirement Solutions
Nationwide Retirement Solutions (NRS) administers the NACo 457 Deferred Compensation Program for county employees across the U.S. NRS provides education, investments, and record-keeping functions for these plans. The Colorado Employer Benefit Trust (CEBT) is a multiple employer health benefit trust providing medical, dental, vision and life benefits for public employers and their employees. The purpose of the Trust is to spread the risk of adverse claims over a large base of members, minimize administrative costs, and provide exceptional service to its members. Because the pool is self-insured, the participating groups benefit from predictable overall claims experience and low administrative costs resulting in rates that consistently outperform the market. Colorado Barricade serves as a specialty contractor on infrastructure construction projects by providing work zone traffic control, pavement marking, road sign manufacturing, sales and installation services to the CCI community. The company began in 1970 with one barricade truck and has enjoyed significant growth over the last 40 years. Today the company has over 60 employees and 70 trucks to support our full scale traffic control, striping and sign installation operations. The Colorado Chapter of American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) is the newest Associate Member of CCI, coming it at the Trailblazer Level. ACPA is the spokesperson for the concrete pipe industry in all matters affecting the industry’s welfare. ACPA members contribute to the improvement of the environment by producing quality concrete pipe, engineered to provide a lasting and economical solution to drainage and pollution problems. RMMI collaborates with elected officials and department heads to devise customized solutions that save valuable time and space within the organization. Special District Association of Colorado
Special districts, as units of local government, fill a vital role in providing fire and rescue services; water and wastewater treatment and delivery; park and recreation amenities; hospitals; and libraries in many communities across Colorado. There are currently 2,677 such districts in the state, of which 1,592 are members of the Special District Association of Colorado (SDA). SDA was established in 1975 to provide legislative input, administrative support, and training opportunities for member districts. SDA is an effective lobbying and educational organization that strives to serve the needs of special districts and their locally elected Board members. In addition to district members, SDA also has 256 associate members who provide information and services for the operation and development of special districts. SDA is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, which is elected by member districts. All SDA Board members must also serve on the Board of a special district. “Collaboration is key to the success of local government,” says Ann Terry, SDA’s Executive Director. “We are pleased to work closely with our county partners to help our members provide the best possible services for the citizens they serve.”
Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association
Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Adams County (CO), Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association is the wholesale power supplier to 43 rural electric cooperatives and public power districts that serve 1.5 million consumers across Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico and Wyoming – a 200,000 square-mile service territory. Tri-State employs over 1,500 people and is governed by a board of 43 directors representing each of its member systems. The company’s power is generated through a combination of baseload and peaking power plants that use coal and natural gas as their primary fuels, supplemented by federal hydropower and other purchased resources. In addition, Tri-State since 2008 has added nearly 250 megawatts (MW) of renewable resources – a number that will more than double as 281 MW in new wind and solar projects are added between 2016 and 2017. In 2015, Tri-State was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy as Wind Cooperative of the Year. “As a not-for-profit, community-owned utility, we are driven by our mission to provide the affordable, reliable electricity that powers rural economies across most Colorado counties,” says Drew Kramer, Tri-State Senior External Affairs Advisor.
